A few centuries ago it most definitely was not done to talk about witches or psychic activities. Thanks to people who wanted to have control over other people by letting them believe all sorts of scary stuff.
If you want to control people; fear is the most common and most easy tool to work with.
Witches and Psychics were seen as a threat to the existing power structures. That was meant as distraction for self-thinking. Why? Well if there are a lot of people swarming around on earth; order has to be maintained and the only way to do that is by making sure they all obey and are dependent on you. I figure, without using my psychic eye, money did have to do with it a lot also.
That’s the reason the women in my family were afraid to speak up in public, because the church had scared the crap out of them. Which was a very smart thing (sarcastic) to do and nowadays is still being done in this world’s society.
So everything was being kept secret in the family and close friends. My great-great-grandma most certainly had no intention mentioning she saw a whole funeral going on in the street when there actually was not one to be seen in this reality.
All those spirits she saw walking wouldn’t really have contributed to her safety and social reputation as obedient citizen if she would have told more people about it. They all used their abilities for personal and informal purposes.
My own grandma dismissed her psychic abilities as “I just am very observant”. And than she looked at me with her psychic eye. Behind that eye she knew a lot about people and later did we use her ‘advice’ (psychic eye so you will) for business purpose advantages.
My mom was the psychic rebel of them all and broke free from religion idiocy by using her own brain without indoctrination and brainwashing.
She became a successful magnetic healer and used het psychic eye occasionally after sessions with people.
They filmed a mini-documentary for TV (Somewhere between 1980-1986 ) about her and she had been the subject of research and education for universities.
So that means the psychic scene did change in time slightly. Of course there are still many tribes of people fighting against it or being sceptic about it. But my opinion that is because it is an area where in a lot of fraud is taking place.
I already experienced that on my own at the age of thirteen when I strolled the paranormal fairs where mom worked as healer. I unintentionally scanned everyone working there and watched right through their so-called ‘mediumship’, ‘tarot-reader’ or any other interesting sounding equivalent for having a third eye.
Don’t get me wrong here: I am not saying nobody has a third eye. I am saying there are too many scam people not having developed them and making money out of it without the skill.
It made me being cautious throughout my life and I made sure I kept my own psychic abilities secret. Whenever I encounter a psychic medium I am highly sceptic and mostly I am not very impressed by the evidence they (or rather not) provide regarding information from passed loved ones.
You too should be cautious and be always aware that you don’t get tricked into providing all the answers to ‘psychics’.
